Mrs. King B. Trieschmann’s Spinach & Artichoke Casserole

This recipe was shared by a wonderful family friend.  It is a must at your next holiday meal.

Ingredients:

2 – 10 oz pkg frozen chopped spinach, cooked and drained

1/2 cup butter

2 -3 oz pkg. cream cheese

1 – 8 1/2 oz jar artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

1/4 tsp black pepper

1 tbs lemon juice

2 tbs Panola Gourmet Pepper Sauce

1 tbs seasoned bread crumbs

Directions:

Combine butter and cream cheese in a saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until butter is melted and cream cheese is softened.  Combine spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese mixture, lemon juice and seasonings.  Stir well.  Spoon into a lightly greased casserole dish, sprinkle with bread crumbs.  Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until bubbly brown.
